Rapid HIV tests
A Comprehensive Strategy for Once Trece Foundation
Once Trece Foundation offers rapid HIV testing as part of its commitment to the sexual health and well-being of the community.
These tests are carried out both at our health centre and at community health events and hospital emergency rooms throughout the country, with the aim of bringing diagnosis to all those who need it and promoting early and timely detection.
Rapid HIV tests are an effective tool that, in a matter of minutes, allow users to know their HIV status, facilitating immediate access to advice and guidance, either to receive appropriate support and treatment in the event of a positive result, or to reinforce education and prevention in the event of a negative result.
At our care center, tests are carried out in a confidential, safe and respectful environment, where health professionals accompany the person throughout the process, providing clear information and emotional support. On the other hand, in our community outreach sessions and in hospital emergencies throughout the country, we take rapid tests directly to communities and health care centers, allowing access to more remote and vulnerable populations that may have difficulty going to a specialized health center.
These sessions not only provide rapid diagnosis, but also education and awareness about prevention, treatment and reducing the stigma associated with HIV.
The implementation of rapid HIV testing is part of Once Trece Foundation's comprehensive strategy to encourage prevention, promote sexual health and ensure that all people have access to the diagnostic services and care they need, with the aim of contributing to the early detection of HIV and ensuring access to timely and effective treatment.
