Cleaning and disinfection of public hospital emergency rooms in Caracas

Healthcare in Venezuela has been progressively deteriorating in recent years due to multiple causes. This has significantly compromised the operational capacity of hospitals. With the electricity crisis and water shortages, and according to data from the organization Doctors for Health , as of March 2019, only 24% of public health centers had a regular supply of running water and 41% had a continuous electricity supply. All of this has a negative impact on adequate patient care, exponentially increasing hospital-acquired infections.

Our goal is to reduce the incidence of hospital-acquired infections by disinfecting critical areas such as emergency rooms and promoting handwashing among staff using antibacterial gels that do not require water.

With a donation equivalent to $40, you can cover one week of maintenance for an emergency room in one of Caracas' public hospitals, which are in deplorable sanitary conditions. Your contribution will allow us to purchase and distribute specialized chemicals for cleaning and disinfecting the room, as well as antibacterial gels for the staff working there. A donation of $160 will ensure the cleaning of this space for a month.
