Many people living with HIV fear unjustified rejection due to the limited information available about the condition, leading them to feel guilt and shame about disclosing their HIV status.
Proyecto Once Trece the Las Mercedes University Institute of Design created the contest “Against HIV Stigma and Discrimination,” in which students from this institution design a poster using the Typo technique to convey a clear and simple message on how to end the stigma and social stereotypes surrounding people living with HIV—a scourge that leads to the social death of these individuals.
The contest began on June 10, 2019, and a shortlist of 10 posters was posted on the Proyecto Once Trece Instagram profile Once Trece @proyectooncetrece), where people can “like” their favorite entries until July 12. The three posters with the highest scores will win. The contest will end on Friday, July 12.
In this way, Proyecto Once Trece foster social awareness among young, creative people in order to put an end to stigma.
